As the first in a series of gallery renovations at the the Autry National Center in Griffith Park, Art of the West showcases more than 100 pieces of Western art.

In celebration of its 25th anniversary, the Autry National Center in Griffith Park has kicked off a massive renovation of its galleries. First up, the revamped art gallery opens with the exhibition Art of the West, an installation of more than 100 pieces that explores the meaning of Western art as it has evolved over generations and among diverse groups. Organized into themes—Religion and Ritual, Land and Landscape, Migration and Movement—the show features contemporary works from artists including Georgia O’Keeffe and David Levinthal alongside historical works from the likes of Thomas Moran and Frederic Remington. 4700 Western Heritage Way, Griffith Park, L.A., 323.667.2000. theautry.org
