The Producers Takes Over the Hollywood Bowl
If you’re looking for more awesome summer events in Los Angeles, the Broadway smash hit The Producers takes over the Hollywood Bowl for the venue’s only fully staged musical of the summer, July 27-29.
Starring Richard Kind as Max Bialystock and Jesse Tyler Ferguson as Leo Bloom, the show also features an eclectic cast of supporting actors, including Rebecca Romijn, Gary Beach and Roger Bart. Mel Brooks’ now-classic musical is about a down-on-his-luck Broadway producer and his mild-mannered accountant, who concoct a get-rich scheme to bilk their investors out of millions by producing the most notorious flop in history. Kind, best known for his work in Spin City and Mad About You, most recently starred in the HBO series Luck; Ferguson’s fans know him as Mitchell Pritchett on ABC’s hit sitcom Modern Family, for which he has received two Emmy Award nominations. 2301 N.
